A Century in Photographs: Travel is a remarkable pictorial record of the last century in terms of travel for pleasure and travel as a means to an end.

Each year of the century is illustrated by a single memorable image from the photographic archives of both The Times and the Hulton Getty Photo Library. A simple caption accompanies every picture, placing it in its historical context and highlighting its relevance to the time.
